Please check out the artzicle below in CNNSI.
There are two Aussies playing the the US NCAA College football chanmpionship game LSU - Alabama. TV = on ESPN America early Tuesday morning (10 Jan)
Brad Wing is a former Footie player and is the punter for Louisiana State University (Go Tigers!)

A long night of football, but it will surely be worth it.

Germany was not at the AFL-International Cup 2011 in Melbourne ? I looked on the Official AFL website in Australia, but could not see Germany :( Ireland won by the way. "...IRELAND has come from four goals down to win the 2011 International Cup, defeating Papua New Guinea by 18 points at the MCG on Saturday..."

Hallo zusammen!
bis nächstes We!

Hi,
I\´m a Aussie studying in Aachen and would like to know if you know about any pubs that would be playing any of the AFL Games over here.
If there is one in Aachen or Köln or Düsseldorf that would be fantastic, otherwise we would have to travel to Amsterdam to watch the game!

Cheers

Well, Collingwood did it !!! It was reported on the ABC that Collingwood coach, Mick Malthouse studied Roman and German military history before the Grand Final replay. It was these tactics used by the Roman Legion and WW2 German Feild Marshall - Erwin Rommel, that Collingwood used to play the game. St Kilda never had a chance. It´s not the first time an AFL coach has studied military history to play an important game, I guess there are all kinds of playing styles and tactics a coach must use to play and win a game. I found it interesting that Mick Malthouse should go to the Roman and German military history books to take out the 2010 grand Final. But hey ?......it worked....and we won !! GO PIES !!! There was over 100,000 people at the stadium (MCG), and only 10 people arrested: 4 men for selling illegal alcohol outside the stadium, and 6 people for running on to the ground after the game. That´s pretty good ;-) . . . . .if anyone wants to know anything more, please feel fre to ask. Tschüss.

Can you believe it ?? A Draw !
I remember the 1977 Grand Final when Collingwood and North Melbourne came a Draw.
You think now the AFL will change the rules and have time on ? pfffft Not likely, they think they are above everyone.......
